Differences in strength, dosage, route of administration, and other variables can make compounded medications distinct from FDA-approved drugs, complicating direct comparisons of results and risk profiles. Any compounded drugs prescribed are based on a licensed provider’s medical judgment following a telehealth consultation and review of the patient’s medical history.
